If GOP wins, Obama will still win

If the GOP fails to vote on a comprehensive immigration reform, then Obama may well become a hero for the Hispanic and go down in history as the Emancipator. Sen. Marco Rubio’s statement on the President’s Plan-B to anyways legalize the 11 million undocumented, sounds like a threat, if the House fails to bring about the immigration reform.

The House Speaker John Boehner is still in no mood to vote on the Senate Bill. In fact, the GOP is preparing its own partisan immigration reform bill where no citizenship is to be granted to the undocumented.
Will the President take such a step? The President earlier this month had made it clear he is not a king. Although, deportations bring forth heartbreaking stories, he wouldn’t want to do anything unconstitutional, which makes it all the more important to act quickly on the immigration reform bill 2013.  But, will he really not take such a step, if the situation arises?

There’s a lot at stake here with the DACA time limit for many dreamers coming to an end next year. Again, the labor and skilled worker shortage in the country has the business lobby pushing for the reform. Moreover, the pressure is mounting on the GOP as the Catholic Church has intervened.
Despite protests, rallies, advocacy and aggressive activism, political analysts believe that immigration reform is dying a slow death. With the budget deadline now finalized, the House is likely to put the issue of immigration reform behind and work on the budget and debt ceiling budget deadline. The GOP is prepared to sacrifice the larger Hispanic vote; however, judging from the demographics, in the upcoming elections it has nothing much to lose.
